Get in my belly!! Part 1

Lately I’ve been asked what I eat in a day since I’m counting calories. I track everything I eat in the My Fitness Pal app. I stick to 1200 calories a day, unless I’ve worked out. Then I’m closer to 1400 calories a day. As I mentioned, I eat what I want. I don’t do Keto, Paleo, Atkins, any of that stuff. I truly just count the calories.

Today’s post will focus on breakfast. The following posts will focus on lunch, dinner and snacks.

I eat breakfast every morning. Even if it’s just a piece of fruit. I have to have something! I also have tea or coffee every morning with half & half and a packet of Truvia. Below are some of my favorites.

Whole Wheat English Muffin with 1 tablespoon of Nutella. This is my default go to. I love Nutella and could put it on everything. 😋😋😋 Approx. 200 Calories

Jimmy Dean Bacon & Spinach Frittatas. I eat one pack which constitutes a serving. I always top it with hot sauce. I also sometimes use these for lunch. Approx 260 calories.

Skinnytaste Loaded Omelet Muffins. I make these following this recipe. My whole family loves them. You can also play around with what goes in them, or use all egg whites. Also a great snack or lunch item. Approx. 165 for two muffins.

Shakeology. I like the Chocolate and Vanilla. My one caveat for these, have to be blended with unsweetened almond milk. I can’t do them with water or just shaken up. Sometimes I add a banana or other fruit. I also use orange juice instead of milk with the Vanilla flavor. It’s like an Orange Julius. Yum!!! Approx. 170-230 calories depending on mix-ins.

Any of these meals keeps me full until lunch. I don’t usually do a mid-morning snack, but I do have an extra cup of tea if I do get hungry. I ask make sure to drink water throughout the day.
