Spray & Slay

I don’t leave home without putting on perfume. I blame my mother ☺️. She always smells fabulous and never leaves home without at least a spritz. 🌺

I seriously have a mini panic attack if I’ve left the house and realize I haven’t put any on. I feel incomplete without it! Weird…I know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Obviously I have my favorite go to’s but I like to try new scents as well. You can never go wrong getting me perfume for a present…just in case you were looking for ideas 😉

Some of my standard favorites are anything from Chloe, Stella by Stella McCartney, Nirvana White by Elizabeth & James, and pretty much anything from Jo Malone. My mom also taught me to change scents with the seasons so I tend to go lighter in the summer and save heavier scents for fall and winter.

This summer I’ve become obsessed with Rosie Jane’s Leila Lou. It’s a perfect scent for summer; jasmine, pear & feshly cut grass and it’s made without a bunch of the usual chemicals. Zara always makes great floral scents. I love their Gardenia. Another new one I tried is Wild Child by Pinrose. Another gardenia and jasmine combo. My youngest got me that for my birthday and it’s a great warm weather scent. I tend towards more floral scents in warmer weather. All of these have floral top notes. I love citrus scents or anything fresh & clean too.

For winter my go to is Nirvana White; notes of peony, lily of the valley & musk. It’s perfect. Of course that means they stopped making it last year 😥 I just got Sunset Metal by All Saints and I think it will be this winter’s go to. It has orange flower and pink pepper. I want to try their Metal Wave next (magnolia and musk). A clean option for winter is Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt. My oldest got me Dolce & Gabbana’s Pour Femme Intense (jasmine, orange blossom & tuberose) for my birthday and it’s another really good cold weather choice.

Some classics that never go out of style are Clinque’s Happy, Ralph Lauren’s Blue, Marc Jacobs Daisy, and Fresh Life. These are always good everyday options.

To me, perfume finishes off my outfit. It’s an accessory for me. What is your favorite fragrance? Do you wear it ever day? Do you switch up your scents?
