Curly girls know a regular, terry cloth towel can be disasterous to our curls. It actually took me until I was in my 30’s to learn this tidbit. Ever since, I ditched my regular towel for a microfiber hair towel. BIG difference. Way less frizz with the microfiber towel. And, my hair dries much faster…those are all wins in my book!
It took me awhile to find a towel that I liked. I need it big but not too big, absorbent but not completely drying, etc. Not too much to ask, right??
My favorite towel is Luxe Beauty Essentials Microfiber Hair Towel. It’s under $13 at amazon. I got mine in grey. Note to self: never take your own white towels to a hotel. Invariably housekeeping always ends up taking it.
I haven’t lost one yet to housekeeping 😊 You can use the towel as a turban or for curl plopping. I’m more of a turban girl with the occassional plop.
I usually keep it on while I’m doing my makeup (pre-Covid era 😉) and finishing getting ready. Then I take it off and finish up either by air-drying or using a diffuser.
