We all scream for ice cream! Have you noticed the new, healthier versions of ice cream out there??? They range from keto friendly to low calorie. I’m sorry but I’ll stick with good old fashioned ice cream.
I’ve tried Halo. I’ve had their Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Sea Salt Caramel, and Cookies & Cream. They all have a good flavor but weird texture. You can eat the whole pint for around 300 calories but I can’t say I enjoyed it. They have some holiday flavors out, and I have to say I’m tempted to try again.
Fairlife Light Ice Cream is another on I’ve tried. I got the Cookies & Cream. 170 calories per serving. Better than Halo but still not my favorite. It had a better texture but still not as creamy as I’d like.
My default, go to brand is Tillamook Ice Cream. It runs between 210-250 calories per serving. It’s delicious!!! It’s creamy and satisfying!! One serving is enough to satisfy my cravings & make me happy. It’s very creamy, and I love the flavors. My favorites are Waffle Cone Swirl and Caramel Toffee Crunch. Cookies & Cream is pretty good too.
I’ve learned I’d rather have less of the real deal than more of “fake” stuff. The real stuff is just more satisfying to me. Especially since I’m watching my calories, I want to enjoy what I’m eating. I’ve learned I’m just happier eating less of the good stuff. 😎
