I’m a sucker for curl products.

I succumbed to the advertising on Facebook and Instagram and bought the Evolvh hair care products. I was so freaking pumped to try this brand! It’s a clean brand that had all the things I wanted and none of the crap that’s bad for my hair.

I was so ducking pumped when I researched the brand because they had a travel size curly hair system. Score!!! I could try the entire line without busting the bank. Love that!!

Placed my order, and I received it fairly quickly! And as a feee gift they upgraded me to a full size Defining Cream. How sweet!!

Of course I had to try out the new system first thing! In the kit, I got shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, and the cream. First off, I was happy with the scent. It was fairly natural and not overpowering. In case you haven’t noticed, scent is a big deal to me. I liked the shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt clean and moisturized.

Up next, the leave in conditioner. Got that worked into the curls and finished with the cream. I had nice clumps and was excited to see the end product.

After diffusing, I was a little disappointed. There was a bit more frizz than normal and the curls seemed a bit stringy. After day 1, I played around for two weeks. You know the drill – more conditioner & less product; less conditioner & more product; other shampoo but their product…and so on. I tried a bunch of different combos.

End result for me, the line is a bit weighty for my thin hair. I think if my hair was thicker, I would have loved the products and kept using them. For my hair, it wasn’t a great fit. If you’ve got curls, you know what works best for one person may not work for you. It’s a bunch of trial and error to find your best fit. My Davines routine still seems to work the best for me, but that doesn’t mean I won’t try other things. You know I like having options. 😉

I’m giving the rest of the product to my girlfriend who has thick curls. I’m going to let her try it and have her report back. I’ll keep you posted.

Any new products out there that you recommend? What’s best for your curls? Any products you won’t use?

Thanks for reading & responding!! ❤️ TC
