Splurge vs Save: Flats Edition

I’ve mentioned it before but the older I get, the flatter my shoes get. I don’t wear heels very often, and when I do they’re usually kitten heels or low pumps. Instead, I wear flats as much as possible!!

I love a good black flat. I want one that’s comfortable and looks good with work clothes as well as jeans. I wear them year round!

Up first is the splurge pair – J.Crew’s Kiki Ballet Flats. Super classic and works with everything. Although I sometimes think the bow makes them look a little more causal. They’re definitely comfy but my feet do get tired if I’m wearing them on repeat. They fit true to size. The black are $138.

Found on jcrew.com.

My save find – Marks and Spencer’s Leather Pump. These suckers are the best and come in at $50. I wear these constantly at conventions. They are super comfy, like wearing sneakers. They don’t rub or give me blisters, and I can wear them for days on end. I love that the toe is a little more pointed. They work with my casual clothes and work attire alike! I love them so much I got them in the two tone nude & black too. They look like the classic Chanel two tone ballerina flats. Sadly, they don’t have these any more. These shoes fit true to size as well.

Available in three colors at marksandspencer.com/us.
