With fall right around the corner, and the fashion sites talking about their favorite boots, I figured I’d share two of mine in this edition of Splurge vs. Save. 👢
Up first, my splurge pick, Thursday Boot Co.’s Duchess in black leather. I got these because I was walking thru NYC in the winter and didn’t want to have to change shoes at the office. You know I’m lazy. Packing an extra pair of shoes is too much effort. These kept my feet warm and dry while looking good with my work pants. Love that I can wear them with jeans. I think they’re a little dressier because the toe is more pointed, and they don’t have a lug sole. They’re super comfy and never gave me blisters with all the walking I had to do. Definitely a favorite shoe for fall and winter. Totally worth the $160 price tag!
My save option, Born’s Cove in black leather. These are $150. I know that’s not a huge savings but $10 is $10. These boots feel like sneakers. Very comfortable and great for walking everywhere. They’re also weather resistant so my feet stay warm and dry. These boots have a rounder toe and chunkier sole; which look is totally in for this fall season. I found these a little less dressy and ended up only wearing them with casual outfits.
