Sephora Review – Part One

I was out of the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum cream. One of my favorites!! When I ordered it from Sephora I stocked up on a bunch of samples and minis to try. I love being a Rouge member!! You get some many free perks and samples. If you haven’t joined their VIB program you need to!!!!! It’s free. Here are my thoughts on the items I’ve tried so far…

I ordered the mini Tarted Tinted Makeup Primer. After a week, I have to say I’m pretty happy with it. I’d definitely order it again. First, it’s the perfect size for travel. Second, it stands up to the heat and humidity. It gave me a nice finish without being pasty or chalky. I used it alone as my base with a bit of concealer as needed. It has SPF so that was a big plus. I love that it didn’t make me break out or feel heavy on my skin. I used the light color. It’s a tiny bit orange for me but definitely doable while I have some summer color. I totally recommend you try it if you’re looking for some light coverage.

I used my points to snag the Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl mascara. I loved it! The mini size is again perfect for travel. I loved how it went on and didn’t cake or clump. I did get some added lift and curl on my lashes. I liked that it didn’t flake or rub off. It didn’t transfer to my upper eyelids either. Totally a winner!! I’ll grab this in a full size for home too! I picked the black but would like to try the burgundy color too.

I snagged a free sample of Madison Margiela’s Replica When the Rain Stops. I was excited for this one because I used to have a perfume called Rain that I loved. I can’t say this was my favorite. There was something spicy in it that I didn’t care for. However my husband loved it. If I was to wear this fragrance, I’d do it in colder weather. It’s not something I’d wear during summer. Maybe early spring?

Do you use minis and samples to try a product before you buy a full size version? Can’t wait to hear from you! Love, TC
