Splurge vs. Save: Bonding Treatments

Hair bonding as been trending for awhile now. I tried it three years ago at my old salon. They used Olaplex. I got the treatment while getting highlights and then got No. 3 to take home for maintenance.

Available at Sephora, Ulta and Amazon. $28 for 3.3 oz.

The first day I saw improvement in my hair but not much after that. Same thing with the maintenance, a little difference the first day but nothing else. I got it because my old stylist told me it would help lessen the hair falling out but I can’t say I ever noticed a change.

I gave it up after the first bottle cause why waste the money, right? I joined this curly group on Facebook a few months ago and everyone was raving about Curl Smith’s Bond Curl Rehab. Again, you know I’m a product sucker so had to try it.

Available on their site, at Ulta and Amazon. $29 for an 8 oz bottle. Much better deal!!

So ducking glad I did. I love it!!! It really smooths my hair and lessens the product I have to use. It lasts about week depending on how many times I was my hair. I leave it on for about 10 minutes in the shower and then wash as I normally do.

After Bond Curl treatment with no product.

The curls are even better when I use product but I wanted you to see what it was capable of on its own.

Do you bond? What’s your favorite bond product or routine? Thanks for reading and responding!! ❤️ TC
